Everything was delicious however, I paid an extra $9 for delivery and the food was not hot
If you’re looking for true comfort food that tastes like it was cooked with love and soul, this is the place to be! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff and the warm, home-style atmosphere. And the food was absolutely amazing. I had the roast chicken, cabbage, and potatoes with gravy. It was so, so good. Aunt Berta’s food is consistent and that is a plus!
I ordered a couple mix and match platters last night and they were to die for! The wait was longer than expected but the woman working register/behind the line was very kind and gave clear communication on when my order would be completed. She deserves a raise. Definitely worth the 20 minute drive. Will be returning !
Haven't had real soul food since moving up to delco. Took a 30 min drive and ended up in heaven. The food was incredible, flavorful, tender, perfectly seasoned. The range of food they had was amazing too. From standards like ribs, chicken(fried and baked), greens and Mac and cheese. But also chitlens and pig feet. The service was incredible, they made us feel at home and we're super nice and friendly. Definitely gonna make the trip again.
The food was delicious ! I ordered a Mega Fish platter ($19.99) with collard greens and macaroni and cheese. I also ordered two turkey wings($8). The fish was crispy and freshly prepared. It was seasoned perfectly. It was NOT salty. The sides were also perfectly seasoned and fresh. The wings were moist and delicious. I picked up a banana pudding($5) too! It was so good. The counter staff are polite and efficient. This is a take out only establishment. I will definitely visit again!
OH. MY. GOSH. When I tell you this food is all THAT? Yesterday was my third time eating at this location and EVERY single time I have been nothing but satisfied. I almost couldnt drive home it was so good (I sat in the dining room to eat).Im a southern girl at heart and the food here reminds me of back home! I wanted to take a pic of my food, but I was so hungry that it got demolished before I was able to!! I told myself that I have to leave a review this time because the food is just that good and the prices are great for the portion sizes you get. Its always packed every time I go, but the workers work together and move quickly to get everyone served! Theres specifically a lady plating the food at the end and you can tell she loves where she works and serving the community! This will be my forever go to spot for a quick meal or a homecooked sunday dinner! Feels like home
The sweetest staff and the best soul food you can find in Jersey! Collard greens and fried chicken are a must
